Our service procedure is as follows:
1. Carry out a gas tightness test (gas leak check)
2. Carry out a flue flow test (smoke test)
3. Check range for correct operation before engineer commences work.
4. Strip range to gain access to pans.
5. Check pan welds and any signs of damage, pitting etc. Advise customer accordingly.
6. Gain access to burners, removing pans and reseating on fire cement after.
7. Carefully remove burners and probes in order to clean.
8. Remove fan and clean impeller blade of fat build up. Empty sump.
9. Check ducting for any build up of fat - advice customer accordingly.
10. Clean control stats and high limit stats.
11. Check wiring for signs of heat damage – advise customer on findings.
12. Re-assemble range in reverse order.
13. Check range for correct operation and perform essential gas safety checks, to include:
· Checking the correct gas working pressure is present at the appliance.
· Checking the burner pressures are correct at each burner
· The gas rating of each individual burner.
14. Check control thermostats for accuracy.
15. Check high limit stats are functioning correctly.
16. Carry out a second flue flow test.
17. Carry out a second gas tightness test.
18. Check the safe operation of the interlock system. Offer advice to customers if a gas interlock system is not present.
19. Leave customer with a copy of gas safe certificate, any warning notices and recommendations.
